Allied Fire and Security has a very long history as a regional supplier of safes and security systems in the Pacific Northwest.
In 1902, the company began under another name – Spokane Safe and Lock. It was a small but trusted firm, providing exactly what it advertised to people in the area: Safes and Locks. People in Spokane trusted its commitment to their security.
R.A. Hunt, the grandfather of the current owner, was working as a marketer for Spokane Safe and Lock. In the late 1940s, the original owner was looking to sell the business, and so R.A. Hunt purchased it from him, taking over in 1948. In 1953, Spokane Safe and Lock changed its name to Allied Fire and Security, the business we know and love today.
Over the years, Allied Fire and Security grew to incorporate locations in Portland and Seattle. Rather than a purely Spokane-based business, it became a highly trusted name in security regionally.
Over the years, we’ve become more well-known. In 2014 we were first recognized nationally as a top security systems integrator by Security Dealer Magazine (SDM). Yet we are still the same business that Bob Hunt created. We are still a personable, down-to-earth, trusted firm. Our products have become more advanced – security cameras, access control systems, and home automation – in addition to locks and alarm systems. The services we offer have expanded.
But our business is still based on the bedrock of great team members, who are experts in security. We have been committed to making homes and businesses safer for our customers, since 1948.
