Most safes come standard with a dial combination lock. Since the technology is over 125 years old, it is the most reliable and dependable way to secure your valuables. The advantage of a dial combinaton lock is that there are no batteries to replace and there is a proven track record of reliability. You can also order your dial combination lock with a optional key locking dial which allows dual security. This means that you would need the key to unlock the dial, and your combination to enter the safe.
There are several classifications of locks out there. If you are interested in a higher security lock such as a U.L Listed Group I or U.L Listed Group IR dial combination lock, please contact your local branch to ask about more information.
Another type of safe lock is a digital electronic lock which provides you with quick and convenient access to your contents. You can program a series of numbers of your choice as your combination. Many of our safes can be purchased with this as an upgraded option for an extra charge.
