Private Guard Response

Do false alarm fines have you afraid to arm your system?

Monitored security alarm customers have the option to choose Private Guard Response to replace police dispatch when your Seattle security alarm sounds. These are unarmed guards that are dispatched to your home to verify the cause of the alarm.

Why choose Private Guard Response?

• False alarm fines are avoided by dispatching a private guard instead of police.
• A private guard responds quickly.
• Having a guard respond who will stay with the emergency contact person increases safety.
• In case of a real emergency that is verified by a private guard, the police will respond as a high priority.

How does it work?

Upon receiving a burglar alarm signal, if the Monitoring Center is unable to reach the first two contact people on your call list, a Private Guard will be dispatched to the alarm location.

The Private Guard responding has the authority to request immediate Police Dispatch if they find evidence of criminal activity or other legitimate cause for alarm. The cost for Private Guard Response is currently $50 per incident, as compared to more costly false alarm fines you would receive if the police respond and cannot find evidence of a legitimate alarm.

Most cities in Allied's service area have implemented false alarm ordinances which are designed to reduce false alarms and unnecessary police dispatch. In Allied's service areas, false alarm fines currently range from $85 to $240 per incident. These amounts can increase as the number of false alarms increase, depending on the jurisdiction
